Level 1
Level 1 is a six week course that will introduce you to the basic Greek language and culture and it is designed for students with little or no background in the language. During this course you will learn how to have a basic conversation, introduce yourself and will be able to read words and short sentences in Greek. You will learn numbers 1-20, how to say the time and the weather in Greek.
Level 2
Level 2 is a six week course that will help you expand your grammar and knowledge in present and future tense. You will learn how to use adjectives in Greek and how to count up to 100. During Level 2 you will learn how to hold basic conversations at a supermarket, how to describe your home and other everyday phrases. By the end of this course you will also expand your Greek vocabulary and will be able to form sentences.
Level 3
Level 3 is a six week course that will help you expand your grammar and knowledge in Greek. We will continue to practice speaking and listening and expand the vocabulary you learned in Level 1 and Level 2. This Level also includes adjectives and adverbs, use of “να” in sentences, imperfect and basic travel vocabulary you will engage in role-playing of when you buy clothes and you are feeling sick.
Level 4
Level 4 is a six week course that will help you expand your grammar and knowledge in Greek. We will continue to practice speaking and listening and expand the vocabulary you learned in Level 1, 2 & 3. This Level also includes simple past tense and its rules. You will learn phrases and vocabulary when you are at the airport, when ordering at a restaurant or when going to a beach bar in Greece.
Level 5
Level 5 combines your knowledge of Greek from Levels 1 to 4. You will continue to expand vocabulary and work on both expressive and receptive skills. You will learn about occupations, talk about your routines in the Past and engage in conversations when going to the bank or speaking about animals and the weather.
Level 6
Level 6 combines your knowledge of Greek from Levels 1 to 5. You will continue to expand vocabulary and work on both expressive and receptive skills. You will learn about passive voice and expand your vocabulary on furnitures, describing people and their personality.
